I have mulled this election over for quite a while. I have stated for a long time that Obama was someone that could be beaten, but it seemed that there was no one that the Republican party would run that would beat Obama.
I do not understand why that people get completely irrational and emotional when this subject is broached. At this point there is not a dimes worth of difference in either party.
Last December Obama signed the worst bill in history into law – and no I am not referring to the health care act. The NDAA – National Defense Authorization Act FY(Fiscal Year) 2012- effectively killed the Bill of Rights. Section 1021 effectively gives the US a right to detain anyone without due process, by labeling them as an enemy. Well we can all be assured that the government has never abused its authority and this too will go on non abused. This is exactly what the Bill of Rights was written for. However the republicans will never state their opposition to it – because they want to be able to use its power as well. Hold on one second there seems to be a knock at my door.
The government has never been about protecting its citizens, in fact I would go as far as to say that we are no longer citizens, but rather subjects.
None of the above does not solve the issue. There are not many who are better off today than they were 4 years ago. As a whole I do not think that the country is better off than 4 years ago.
I know that things do not just change overnight; its been 4 years and things really have not improved.
I think Romney wins this and quite frankly I do not think its going to be that close. I do not think that Romney is the best candidate that the Republicans could have run, but its been 4 years, its time to give someone else a chance. Someone that has run businesses and done something besides run down the United States.
The Obama’s have stated there were times that they were not happy to be Americans, and you know what – I have shared that same experience watching this man run our country into the ground for the last 4 years. Have there been some good things come out of his presidency – absolutely, but the best will be when we add one more to the ranks of the unemployed – Barack Obama.

Oh my, Mr. Postcard. I’m standing on Canadian legs so what do I know, that said – Romney – really? Interesting. I’m confused, the NDAA how does that differ from the Fusion centres that sprang up after 9/11?
Hans – prediction is a bit different than mine. He and I have a couple of state outcomes flipped i think. This version of the NDAA is different because it can be used directly against American citizens – without proof of misdeeds and without due process. Basically on a say so your rights are gone with the wind.
Granted no one right away is going to use this as a weapon against a political enemy, but knowing the US government i suspect it will not be long.
The fusion centers were combined intel from several of the alphabet agencies. While they participate in investigation of groups, data mining, and information gathering they did not have the powers to detain.
