Pop Singer Helen Reddy turns 71 today. Helen Reddy had a number of hits in the early to mid-70’s. This was her signature song, her first #1 and it became the theme song for the feminist movement of the 1970’s.. She had 3 #1 hits in the US- “I Am Woman” “Delta Dawn” and “Angie Baby” Her big years were 1971-75 after that her career tailed off quickly. I do not know the last time I heard one of her songs on the radio.I think Helen Reddy struck at the right time. The early 1970’s were perfect for what she did.
