On this day in 1956 Yankees pitcher Don Larsen pitched the only perfect game in World Series history beating the Brooklyn Dodgers 2-0 in Game 5 at Yankee Stadium. Don Larsen was a journeyman pitcher who pitched for eight different major league teams and would finish his career with a record of 81-91 but on that one day he was perfect. Don Larsen is still living, he’s 83.
