#66 of the Pittsburgh Penguins- Mario Lemieux turns 47 today. One of the greatest hockey players of all time. Super Mario led the Penguins to two Stanley Cup Championships during his career. He is now co-owner of the Penguins. He is the only person to win the Stanley Cup as a player and as an owner.  Lemieux played his entire career with the Penguins.In his career he scored 690 goals and 1033 assists. He was an exciting player. I know Penguin fans believe he was greater than the Great Gretzky but let’s get serious. Not to knock Lemieux, I think he is on the Mount Rushmore of the greatest hockey players ever but Gretzky was the GOAT.
