Warren Commission Report Is Released-This Day 1965

On this day in 1965 the Warren Commission released their report on their investigation on the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. Their findings were that Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone as the assassin and that Jack Ruby acted alone in the killing of Lee Oswald 2 days later. The Warren Commission has been criticised over the years but in my opinion they got it right. Oswald acted alone and so did Jack Ruby. I have read a lot about the assassination, I am not calling myself an expert by any means but I’ve come to the conclusion that this is how it went down.

The Warren Commission was established by President Lyndon Johnson a week after President Kennedy was gunned down in the streets of Dallas, Texas. The Chief Justice of the Supreme Court Earl Warren was in charge. A senator from each side of the aisle was chosen {Richard Russell -D- Georgia and John Sherman Cooper- R-Kentucky} one person was chosen from each party in the House {Hale Boggs -D Lousiana and Gerald Ford- R-Michigan- who would be a future Vice President and President} Former CIA Director Allen Dulles and former President of the World Bank John McCloy rounded out the Warren Commission. The final report was 889 pages long.

  1. LOL – that is a good one. maybe add bettman for good measure. McCloy is just one of those guys that i just dont like. He was just one of these shadow figures that had his hands in too many things that just do not make sense for him to be in.
