Legendary Led Zeppelin Drummer John Bonham Died On This Day 1980

 

 

On this day in 1980 the legendary drummer for Led Zeppelin, John Bonham died at the age of 32. A coroner’s inquest determined that in the last 24 hours of his life Bonham had consumed forty shots of vodka which resulted in his vomiting and inhaling his vomit causing asphyxiation.

Bonham is considered by many to be the greatest drummer in the history of rock music. His death put an end to the great Led Zeppelin, who wisely decided to call it a day after John Bonham’s passing.
