Actor Christopher Reeve who was most famous for his role as “Superman” was born on this day in 1952.  Tragically Christopher Reeve was  thrown off of his horse during an equestrian event competition that left him a quadriplegic. He would require a wheelchair and breathing apparatus for the rest of his life. Christopher Reeve died at the age of 52 on October 10th, 2004.
