On this day in 1968 a new show newsmagazine show started on television- 60 Minutes. 44 years later it is still going strong. Back when it started the co-hosts were Mike Wallace and Harry Reasoner.  TV Guide has ranked “60 Minutes” as the #6 greatest show in television history. When I think of “60 Minutes” I think of two people- Mike Wallace and Andy Rooney both who have recently left us.
