Marty Schottenheimer was an outstanding coach, in the regular season. Get to the playoffs and it was a different matter. his record in the regular season 200-126, post season 5-13. No one has won more games as a head coach and never coached in the championship game. Should Marty Schottenheimer be elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame? I don’t think so.

Marty had some plain bad luck in the playoffs as well. Games where fumbles bounced away from his guys, and I saw a stat where his kickers missed something like 14 of 34 attempted fgs. Lombardi could not have with that luck.
