Presidential Election Prediction From Hans Postcard

Here is how I see the Presidential election going in November. I think the Republican’s are now doing what the  Democrats used to do- nominating an unelectable candidate. I think this election mirrors the 2004 race. In 2004 if the Democrats could have nominated a living breathing human being they would have won. George W. Bush was on the ropes and ready for the knock out punch but they coughed up John Kerry. This time around I think the people want to give Obama the boot but no one likes Willard Mitt Romney. A decent candidate would have won. Romney believes in nothing and is unlikeable. Obama will win in November. Below is how I view the Electoral Map.

  1. Hmmm … I came back because I got a bit confused. Granted being ‘down under’ my grasp of facts might not be as sharp on the issue, but what I meant to say was that I hope you are right in saying that ‘Obama will win in November’. My reason for that is probably quite simple; from where I am standing the alternative does not look good.

    • No worries. To be honest with you I would like to vote for none of the above. Neither Obama or Romney are appealing, but to me it looks like amateur hour with Obama. Not that it would be any different with Obama. Word is during the second term for example John Kerry will replace Hillary Clinton as Secretary of State.. Send in the clowns… We are in bad shape here with the choice of Obama vs Romney.. A lot of people will just sit this election out and not vote at all. But I always vote so I’ll vote.

  2. Thanks for getting back to me -:) Well , we (all ‘grand’ 4 million of us including kids -:))), here at the ‘bottom of the world’ are not in much better shape ourselves … most people did just that; sit the last election out due to ‘not much to choose from’ … it says something about state of the global affairs and the credibility of candidates everywhere! I think the time is coming for some fundamental changes much bigger than any elections and across the boundaries.
    Have a great weekend -:)!

  3. President Obama is a very solid and thoughtful man. I think he has done a great job considering the obstacles he was handed and the “do nothing” Congress negative thinkers he had to deal with daily. However, I would never vote for Mitt Romney because he is disdainful to Americans. His 47% comment pushed me to the realization that this man and the people that support him are not interested in the concerns of real Americans. Maybe they are concerned about the uber -wealthy, but the arrogance that he exuded makes it impossible to believe he would “care” about the people that disagree with his views. I am being too kind, he had his chance to show how he could present himself and the people that work for him at his convention, ’nuff said. He let an empty chair ruin the biggest night of his life. For months he has been trying to show us who he “really ‘ is, I think we know. If the last three weeks cannot convince people that Mitt Romney is not ready for prime time, they are delusional. I saw a fact recently, that if a worker at Walmart being paid $8.11 an hour were to somehow manage to reach the same level of wealth as the Walton family that owns it; it would take them…get ready for this…7 MILLION years. Now, tell me CEO’s and Big Business folks do not make enough money? Where are all those jobs the “job creators” are suppose to be making? Offshore in the banking industry, I guess. Additionally, I can’t stand to be in a Walmart store more than 20 minutes, Heaven help the employees.

    • Agree with you on Wally World… As far as the candidates I don’t think either man has too firm a grip on reality..I don’t care for either one of them. The last vote I cast that I was happy with was for Ronaldus Magnus in 1984. Since then..it is always a lesser of two evils..
