Brian Epstein the man who discovered The Beatles and was their manager was born on this day in 1934. Epstein was an outstanding manager in the early years of The Beatles, getting them the needed publicity, he put the boys in suits and got the ball rolling but once they reached superstardom, he was in over his head. He made a lot of business decisions that cost The Beatles millions of dollars.Once The Beatles quit touring in 1966 Brian seemed to drift deeper into depression. He would die of a drug overdose in 1967 at the age of 32.

He could have been brilliant and possibly have a stellar career, alas, he had his demons. Personally, he was a bit of a mess which I’m sure contributed to his failures.
Very true- I read everything i can get my hands on concerning The Beatles.. Brian was very troubled.. the person i admire the most who was associated with The Beatles- George Martin
