On this day in 1953 United States Senator and Future POTUS John F. Kennedy married Jacqueline Bouvier at St. Mary’s Church in Newport, Rhode Island. Senator Kennedy was 35 years old. I remember when I was in high school a few of my friends and I were out riding around and one of them talked of getting married as soon as he got out of high school. I said “I am not getting married until I am 35, just like JFK” I got married when I was 35.
