Here is how the folks at 270 to win have the election. For Romney to win based on his holding the current Red states, a possible scenario would be if he would win Virginia, North Carolina, Florida and Ohio. That would give him 266. Then pick up one of the following- Iowa, Wisconsin, Nevada or New Hampshire to put him over the top. They have Michigan and Pennsylvania as toss-ups. If one of those states would turn Red it would be President Romney for sure. I see Obama as winning those two at this moment.

since i have been wrong in everything that i have picked i hope to continue the trend here. i do not see obama losing the race in 50 some days.
the poll numbers and statistics are what i dont really get right now. unemployment is high. the economy is not good, obama and his people continue to blame bush. do i think bush is somewhat at fault here, yes, but look at his policies and see how that a lot have not helped. besides we are three+ years in, its time to take some responsibility.
despite all of that, polling is a dead heat or obama slightly ahead. if you cannot put distance on someone when things are like this, romney probably does not win.
Romney is the Republican John Kerry. Anyone with a pulse could have and should have beaten GW in 2004.. same with this year and Obama..but the POTUS will win.
Not only has everyone moved NM from toss-up to Blue – but, Heinrich is leading by 8-10 points to replace Dem Senator Bingaman [retiring] and the Dem candidate to replace Heinrich in the House leads by 12-16 points.
Here in northern NM all the Republicans could come up with was a Kool Aid Party candidate who wants to plant land mines on the border.
The 270towin site has PA and Mich as undecided but I don’t see Romney winning there. The path to election is narrow.
its possible that they could end up in a tie at 269. http://www.270towin.com/2012_election_predictions.php?mapid=xAE
do i think it would happen – no, but you want to see a country in some chaos – here is the nightmare fuel. having john boehner pick romney as the president in this situation would send a lot of people through the roof.
