I would have been inclinded to root for the Nationals in the post-season. I am rooting against them now. If I were a fan of the Nationals I would be very unhappy. They are letting an agent dictate how to run a team. Steve Boros is hell bent on making Stephen Strasburg the first 200 million dollar pitcher. The Nationals are getting what they deserve by playing into him. If you make a deal with the devil he is the one who names the terms. This also isn’t saying much for Strasburg. I can’t image say Bob Gibson going along with this. The Nationals still have a fine pitching staff without him but this is a team that could have gone to the World Series I don’t think they will now. The Cincinnati Reds just became the favorite in the National League. I would also expect more of this kind of thing in the future. This is a bunch of garbage. It’s all about money in this land of milk and honey and there ain’t a damn thing funny.
