2012 NFC North (Not quite as Fearless) Forecast

Aaron Rodgers is the key for the Green Bay Packers (yes massive understatement) – if he is healthy and the defense can make timely stops no reason why this team is not headed for New Orleans. The Packers have been on a great run lately and if everyone stays healthy should be another great season, 13-3.

Matthew Stafford was hehttps://slicethelife.wordpress.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=3453&action=editalthy throughout the season and throwing to Megatron makes life easy. The Lions were no longer the laughingstock of the NFL and made the playoffs for the first time in more than a decade. If they can solve the issues at running back the Lions will be back in the playoffs once again, 11-5.

The Chicago Bears are a good team just in a division with better teams. They could cause some matchup problems for other teams, but should be beaten in the games with the Packers and the Lions. Jay Cutler still does not do enough consistently to win games, 8-8

The Vikings are up and coming. Christian Ponder may be the answer and QB, and they have some very good skill position players, like Percy Harvin. This team has been built around Adrian Peterson. Peterson suffered a knee injury last season and may not be fully recovered. Again the unluck of the draw in this division hurts. 5-11

  1. Good call on Da Bears. I’ve been reading so much on the Bears and how this is going to be there year. Some even picking them over the Packers. Hogwash. Jay Cutler is their quarterback. 8-8 and third place hits it on the nose. Most overrated team this year and maybe Lovie pays for it at seasons end.
