Jack The Ripper’s First Victim Found Murdered- This Day 1888

On this day in 1888 Jack The Ripper’s first victim a prostitute named Mary Ann Nichols was found murdered and mutilated in Whitecastle’s Buck’s Row. Jack would kill four more victims in the next few months in the East End of London. Although there were many suspects, Jack was never found. The Jack the Ripper mystery continues to fascinate nearly 125 years later. One of those things we can continue to speculate on who the killer was but we will never know for sure now.

In the summer of 2003 Mrs. Postcard and I went on a vacation to London, took the Jack The Ripper tour. Pretty interesting but I loved The Beatles Tour of London a lot more!

Jack the Ripper still fascinates. in fact, I think I read that there will be a Jack-the-Ripper themed “Bones” episode this season. Anyway, I thought everyone would be interested in this.
