The Long, Strange Trip Of Dock Ellis {Fantastic ESPN Article}

Former Major League pitcher Dock Ellis is most famous for pitching a no-hitter while on an LSD trip back in 1972. I have been a Pittsburgh Pirate fan all my life. When I was growing up Dock was on the Pirates. He was a revolutionary, counter-cultural figure. That didn’t go over well in Pittsburgh in the 1970’s. Dock had some fine seasons but never lived up to his potential. His most famous pitch- the threw the pitch to Reggie Jackson in the 1971 All-Star game that probably still hasn’t landed. This story is one of the best things I’ve read on ESPN.  attached below.
