Texas Rangers Beat The Baltimore Orioles 30-3 On This Day 2007. Most Runs Scored By A Team In A Game In MLB History

Ian Kinsler - Boston Red Sox v Texas Rangers

On this day in 2007 the Texas Rangers beat the Baltimore Orioles 30-3, the most runs scored by a team in modern Major League Baseball history.  The box score is attached below. Amazing thing the game only took 3 hours and 21 minutes to play. This was the first game of a doubleheader. The Rangers kept their hitting shoes on- winning the second game 9-7.  The games were played at Camden Yards in Baltimore.

  1. Jarrod Saltalemachia and Ramon Vazquez each had 7 RBI in that game, becoming the first teammates to do so in the same game since 1962, when the protagonists were named Mickey Mantel and Elston Howard. Ramon Vazquez happens to be a good friend of mine–his picture appeared in the NY Times the next day, crossing the plate with the 30th run after his second 3-run homer of the game. I cut out the picture and sent it to him. 😀

    • That’s awesome that you are friends with Ramon..and two guys had career days on the same day! I still can’t believe..30 runs in one game..
