General Norman “Stormin’ Norman” Schwarzkopf turns 78 today. He was the commander of the coalition forces during Gulf War I in 1991. When the war was over he retired from the army. There was pressure on him to run for political office at the time but he never did. A wise choice.
His father Herbert Norman Schwarzkopf was the lead investigator of the kidnapping of Charles Lindbergh’s baby back in the early 1930’s.
