The last time that The Beatles were together at Abbey Road Studio was this day in 1969. They were working on John’s song to Yoko “I Want You {She’s So Heavy} which would be a track on the great “Abbey Road” album. Although “Let It Be” was the last album The Beatles released, it was recorded before “Abbey Road” The recording sessions of “Let It Be” was a mess, the movie they made of it was very sad. The Beatles were able to pull it back together and make “Abbey Road” one of their most memorable and greatest albums.

Rather a sideways connection, but have you seen the movie Across The Universe? Beatles songs,starts out as a cheesy musical, transforms into a relevant political statement. So good!
For some reason I missed that movie.. I want to see it though. I will mark it down on my to do list.. thanks for mentioning it.
