On this day in 1920 the 19th Amendment to the United States Constitution which guaranteed women the right to vote is ratified in the state of Tennessee giving the amendment the 2/3rds majority of states ratifying it making it the law of the land. It had passed the US Congress in July 1919. The struggle for voting rights for women and a long one. Finally in 1918 President Woodrow Wilson changed his position to supporting it and things began to finally move on it after decades of struggle.

Great post!!! I loved it!
