The Woodstock Music and Art Fair Opened near Bethel, New York at Max Yasgur’s farm. Nearly half a million people converged on the concert site.  The concert lasted from August 15th to August 18th, 1969.  I think this is the most overrated, overblown event of the 1960’s. It would have been miserable to have been there. The movie is pretty good though. A lot of great groups played there but lets be honest how cool was this? Sha Na Na played there. Case closed.
