Stieg Larsson Author of The Millennium Series Born This Day 1954

Stieg Larsson the author of The Millinnium Series of books-The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, The Girl Who Played With Fire, and The Girl Who Kicked The Hornets’ Nest was born on this day 1954. He died of a heart attack at age 50 before his books were published so he never knew the overwhelming success his books would be. As of December 2011 his 3 books had sold 65 million copies.

The Millinnium Series was going to be ten books in the entire series but sadly he never got around to writing all of them. Supposedly there is another book in the series that he had written but it will reportedly never see the light of day.

The books have been made into movies in both Europe where all 3 have been made and released and in the United States where “The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo” came out last winter.
