The great songwriter Jimmy Webb turns 66 today. Jimmy Webb’s most famous songs are “Wichita Lineman” ,”By The Time I Get To Phoenix”, “Galveston”, and “MacArthur Park”.  “By The Time I Get To Phoenix” was the third most performed song in the 50 years from 1940-1990. His most famous partnership was with Glen Campbell who had massive hits with “Wichita Lineman” By The Time I Get To Phoenix”, and “Galveston”.

Jimmy Webb is the only person to ever win a Grammy Award for music, lyrics and orchestration.  Glen Campbell’s “Witchia Lineman” is on my all time Top 10 songs list.
