I’ve watched tennis off and on in my life, mostly the Grand Slam Finals kind of watching. I am not an expert by any means on the sport but most of the ‘people who know” have declared Roger Federer the GOAT -Greatest Of All Time so who am I to argue? Federer has won 17 Grand Slam titles, he has been number 1 in the world a record number of weeks. He was number 1 in the world from 2004-2008 without being knocked out of the number 1 slot. He’s #1 currently. It is hard to argue that he is not the greatest ever. My favourite ever though had to be Johnny McEnroe. They complained about Johnny Mac’s behavior when he was playing but they sure could use someone with his personality today in the sport, in my humble opinion. Jimmy Connors was also had a fiery personality but I always had the impression that off the court John McEnroe was a pretty cool guy whereas Jimmy Connor’s was just a bratty mama’s boy. Never liked Connor’s, loved McEnroe. Borg-McEnroe the greatest tennis match of all times. What that has to do with Roger Federer I am not sure! My favourite female tennis play is Anna Kournikova with Maria Sharapova a close second.

federer is just a machine. i wish that nadal was equal on all surfaces and that fed was still in his prime. the rivalry is solid as it is, but to see both at their height would have been impressive.
