Neil Armstrong turns 82 today. He will forever be known as the first man to walk on the moon when he and Buzz Aldrin landed on the moon July 20th, 1969 on the Apollo 11 mission. Neil Armstrong was in the second group of astronauts. His other mission was on Gemini 8. After Apollo 11 he retired from NASA and had a career in teaching at the college level. He kept a low profile over the years. Never cashed in on his fame. Class guy.
