The next two nights I am going to get to see The Steel Wheels [not to be confused with The Rolling Stones album of the late 1980s} This band is an Americana style band with heavy folk and bluegrass influences  from the Blue Grass Mountains of Virginia. In the past 9 months since I first saw them perform at The Purple Fiddle in Thomas, West Virginia they are the band I have listened to more than any other. They have an excellent new album called “Law Down Lay Low” There are a few others in the past six years bearing The Steel Wheels name, before that Trent Wagler and The Steel Wheels and the first album was a Trent Wagler solo album. Trent voice reminds me a lot of John Fogerty’s. All worth owning. They just get better and better. In concert they are fantastic. I saw them again in April in Columbus. Great group and a great group of guys. I’d recommend you catch them if they are near you.  Below is a link to their most known song- “Red Wing”
