Lucio Quarantotto, an Italian songwriter who wrote the lyrics to Andrea Bocelli’s classic “Con te Partiro” {Time To Say Goodbye”} has committed suicide at the age of 55.
The first time I heard that song was about a dozen years ago when ESPN was doing their outstanding “Sports Century” series. At the end of the program about the great Wayne Gretzky- the played this song. I thought it was great but had no clue who sang it or what the title even was. Andrea Bocelli also recorded this song with Sarah Brightman. Both versions are terrific.
