Larissa Latynina Wanted To Present Michael Phelps With Record Breaking Medal. IOC Say No

What a great moment this would have been but of course the IOC has rules and they follow those rules. Are these people a bunch of idiots? No wonder the Olympic Games become more and more irrelevant as time goes on.

Meanwhile Larissa Latynina thinks she is the greatest Olympian Ever… while the great Sebastian Coe agrees with me. It’s an opinion on who the greatest is.

  1. i know the IOC has rules etc, but really? i am not a huge phelps fan unlike my colleague here – but we may not see another olympian get to this number of medals. it was what 50 years to break it? insanity.

    • and he’s not done. he could add a few more…i think a swimmer is the only one that could break it..with the relays..if someone started out winning like age 16..and kept going…
