Former First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy born on this day 1929. Jackie Kennedy was a big help to her husband. She was beautiful and stylish and one of the most popular First Ladies in American history. John Kennedy didn’t marry until age 35 but he married well. I have to admire her for what she went through. She knew some of what her husband was up to, no one could have their head buried in the sand that much not to know. Sitting in that car next to her husband on that day in Dallas and going through all that. She handled it all at least what we saw- with strength and dignity. A lot of people were unhappy when she married Aristotle Onassis. I think that was a move to take care of her children financially. I can’t hold that against her. She had class. She died far too young at the age of 64 in 1995. What tragedy that family had. Jackie lost two babies , JFK assassinated, JFK Jr died in that plane crash. Jackie died at a fairly young age. Only Caroline remains.
