Rose Kennedy who in her 104 years experienced a lot of triumph and more than her share of tragedy was born on this day in 1890. She married Joe Kennedy Sr and had 9 children. Four of her nine children would die during her lifetime all tragically. Joe Jr’s plan was shot down in World War II, Kathleen in a plane crash and of course John and Robert due to assassination. To add to her suffering she was married for 55 years to a major slimeball. Only one of the 9 Kennedy children remain- Jean Kennedy Smith who is now 84 years old. Rose Kennedy died in 1995.

wonder how things may have been different if joe jr was not selected for the top secret things in wwii. i wonder if he had not died would he have faced off with ike for the presidency in 52?
he would have only been 37.. i figure he would have taken the jfk course- house..senate then run for president.. taking on ike he would have been beat like a rented mule…
good point. 60 was probably the ideal time no matter. just had to go with plan b in jfk instead of jr.
