Don Henley of The Eagles -65 today. I have mixed feelings about The Eagles. They were alright but fall short of this iconic status they seem to have-in my opinion. Don Henley’s solo albums though in the 1980’s were outstanding. {He’s only released one solo album in the past 23 years-2000’s “Inside Job”}

“The Boys of Summer” is one of those songs I’ve listened to thousands of times and never grow tired of. Its my favorite song from the 1980’s { runners up being “Little Red Corvette”-Prince, “Romeo and Juliet”-Dire Straits and “Back On The Chain Gang”-The Pretenders
