On this day in 1941 British prime minister Winston Churchill first displayed the “V-for Victory” hand signal. An interesting story on the history of the V-Sign in link below. The most pathetic looking example of the V-Sign had to be Dick Nixon’s when he was leaving the White House for the final time after his resignation. Churchill used the V-Sign to great effect. He was an inspiring leader. Nixon was a crook.
