The Lower Falls of the Yellowstone River are 308 feet in height which is nearly double Niagara Falls but it isn’t comparable in the volume of water that goes over the falls. Niagara Falls is a half mile wide, the Lower Falls of Yellowstone River is 70 feet wide. There are a number of ways to see it. The road has several pull offs where you can get out and see it from a distance or you can walk down a long series of steps that lead to the Falls. We looked at the falls from all the vantage points. Pretty remarkable.
