healthcare – well i certainly blew that prediction

after seeing early reports that it was 6-3 i had a different thought, but i see now that it was 5-4. Roberts voting to uphold the law is a large surprise to me. if anyone was going to vote that way i would have bet heavily on kennedy not roberts. again i question how kagan who was the solicitor general at the time this was enacted is allowed to vote on this. this seems like a conflict of interest to me, but what do i know. i am only a person with a keyboard and an internet connection.

i think this opens the door for a lot of bad legislation to continue on. since we can now be forced to buy healthcare then what else will we be forced to buy simply because the government says we need it? to borrow from reagan – the worst phrase one can hear is ‘i am here from the government and i am here to help’

this will make the campaign all that more interesting, i would say however that we are stuck with this forever. i cannot recall any piece of legislation ever being just thrown out once it was enacted.
