On this day in 1963- one of the high water marks in the Presidency of John Fitzgerald Kennedy. He stood in front of the  Berlin Wall and announced “Ich Bin ein Berliner”.. suggesting that all people must become ingaged in ending the political division of the German people that had persisted since World War II.

In June 1987 of course Ronaldus Maximus stood before the the Berlin Wall and said “Mr. Gorbachev tear down this wall”…and in two years it was.
