  1. we may have to fight about this one.
not sure about order for me, but i would agree that my list looks somewhat different than yours does.
The Longest Day – no objection
Letters from Iwo Jima – no objection
Hurt Locker – i admit i have not watched this film yet (yes heresy i know)
Tora Tora Tora – no ojection
Big Red One – I would replace this one
Dirty Dozen – entertaining but not one of my favorites
Bridge on the River Kwai – no objection
Das Boot – no objection and truly an underrated movie. this movie was just brutal. i cannot imagine what it would have been like to be a submariner in this time.
    Patton – no objection
    Platoon – no objection
Saving Private Ryan – good movie good cinematography, plot is lame
    Apocalypse Now – no objection
I always would put The Great Escape on this list. I cannot tell you how many times I have watched this movie, but I will watch no matter where it is when I see it on television.
Interesting that Charles Bronson is the only one to survive the Dirty Dozen and escape the Nazis in The Great Escape.
