The Beatles Song of the Day is-“From Me To You.” After the recording on February 11th, 1963 George Martin encouraged John and Paul to come up with some more hits and soon. This song was inspired by a regular letters column that ran in the New Music Express titled “From You To Us.” John and Paul wrote “From Me To You’ while traveling from York to Shrewsbury while on Helen Shapiro’s tour- on February 28th, 1963. The two new songs they had just written were “From Me To You” and “Thank You Girl.” They played both songs for Helen Shapiro to get her opinion on which should be the A-Side to their next single. She said “From Me To You” which is the one they also favored. John Lennon: vocal, rhythm guitar, harmonica/ Paul McCartney: vocal and bass guitar/ George Harrison: lead guitar and vocal/ Ringo Starr: drums. Recorded March 5th, 1963 at Abbey Road. Producer: George Martin.
