The Beatles Song of the Day is “Baby It’s You.” “Baby It’s You” is the third song on Side 2 of The Beatles debut album “Please Please Me.” “Baby It’s You” was a song by Mack David, Luthur Dixon and Burt Bacharach that The Beatles covered. John Lennon sang the lead vocal on this song. John Lennon: vocal, rhythm guitar/ Paul McCartney: backing vocal, bass guitar/ George Harrison: backing vocal, lead guitar/ Ringo Starr: drums/ George Martin: celesta. The song was recorded at Abbey Road during the marathon session on February 11th, 1963. Producer: George Martin. The song was a cover of a song by The Shirelles-the second song that The Beatles covered by The Shirelles, the other was “Boys.” The highlight of this song is John’s singing.
