Dave Grohl turns 44 today. Dave Grohl was the drummer for a little group named Nirvana back in the first part of the 1990’s. Nirvana with Kurt Cobain in a short period of time made a huge impact on rock music. After the death of Cobain, Dave Grohl started his own band the Foo Fighters. The Foo Fighters have released 7 albums. They have had numerous hits on the rock alternative charts. I really liked their first two albums ” Foo Fighters” and “The Colour And The Shape” I know I am in the minority but I haven’t cared that much for their work since. Grohl is always busy, he is also a co-founder of Them Crooked Vultures and has worked on the albums of numerous other artists.

Pitchfork has called Grohl the “Tom Petty of his generation, a consistent hit machine pumping out working class rock”
