Grand Funk Railroad- from Flint, Michigan from 1969-76 had 19 Hot 100 Singles with 9 making the Top 40. For a brief period of time in the early 70’s they were one of the biggest bands in America- something I still can’t figure out. They had 2 #1’s ” We’re An American Band” 1973 and “The Loco-Motion” 1974.
I’d not heard this song before, but I actually prefer it to the two #1 hits you mention.
