Alive And Kicking were a pop rock band from Brooklyn. They had two Hot 100 singles both in 1970- and this was their only Top 40 hit. The organ player Bruce Sudano later won the lottery- marrying Donna Summer in 1980. Tommy James one of the co-writers recorded the song in the mid 1970-s it failed to chart.
amazing work
Thanks Hans…love this song and I never knew who sang it.
It’s odd how many titles I am coming across that don’t sound familiar and then 5 seconds into the song- Yes I know that one!
Those songs are gold to me…or ones you haven’t heard in so long.
You had one last year by Spirit…I Got A Line On You.
A summer-defining classic from my youth for sure!
