ALBUMS
- DAVID BOWIE: HUNKY DORY: 1971: 5 STARS OUT OF 5 STARS: My favorite Bowie album which contains my favorite Bowie song “Life On Mars.” A diverse album of great pop songs. Bowie’s fourth album. Favorites- Life On Mars?, Changes, Kooks, Oh You Pretty Things, Quicksand. Hard to believe there were no Top 40 hits in the US from this album.
- FRANK SINATRA: IN THE WEE SMALL HOURS: 1955: 5 STARS OUT OF 5 STARS: A great album to listen to anytime but especially at 3am when you wake up and know you aren’t getting back to sleep.
- THE BEATLES: ABBEY ROAD: 1969: 5 STARS OUT OF 5 STARS: Today is the 49th anniversary of the release of Abbey Road- like I need a reason to listen to the album again.
While my favorite Bowie album is “Ziggy Stardust,” I dig “Life On Mars” and “Changes” from “Honky Dory” as well. As for “Abbey Road,” you can’t go wrong with that album – of course, I’m completely unbiased here!😀
I miss David Bowie. I remember trying, in vain, to explain Changes and Bowie to my dad.
Completely agree re Bowie album
