The Beatles Song Of The Day is “The Inner Light.” “The Inner Light” was a b-side to The Beatles “Lady Madonna.” It was the first time a George Harrison written song was on a Beatles single. “The Inner Light” was in the American Top 100 for one week, peaking at #96. George Harrison wrote the lyrics from a translation of the “Tao Te Ching” in a book called “Lamp of Fire” sent to him by Juan Mascaro, the Sanskrit teacher at Cambridge University.
