The Indianapolis Colts finished 8-8 and were pretty much a mediocre team across the board – 4-4 at home and road, 3-3 in division, 411 points scored 392 points surrendered. The Colts looked to be on the brink the first few years of Andrew Luck’s career, but that has just not worked out so far.
The Colts need help in the front seven. I do not see them moving up or down in this draft, so it will simply be a matter of who is available here. Reuben Foster could be an option, but he is off the board here. Takkarist McKinley is available and makes sense, he fills a need and would be a great fit for the Colts organization. McKinley is 6’2″ 265lbs, a bit undersized at 265, but he is quick. Formerly a track and field guy, he has made his presence known on the gridiron.
This is one guy I am hoping does well. Here is a link to a feature story that espn did on him a couple of days ago. McKinley feature
Tough not to root for this kid – Indy picks UCLA DE Takkarist McKinley.
